Blackout paradox – Shamaniac

“Who looks outside, dreams; Who looks inside, awakes.”

‑ Carl Gustav Jung

Blackout paradox invites you beyond the human world as you know it. Through dance, dreaming, passion and struggle, the shaman’s soul sets out towards self-discovery and personal experience beyond the ordinary reality. Dance, acrobatics and fire dance loosely inspired by shamanism, mysticism and rituals.
Epic costumes, masks and unusual fire props combined with sophisticated choreography create a unique visual experience.

Cie Pieds Perchés – OK(N)o

Public space/private space/intimacy. Blending circus, dance and physical theater, the site-specific OK(N)o project questions the very notions of private and public space as it attempts to identify the places where individual freedom can be found within these two realms. OK(N)o is meant to be performed in indoor and outdoor environments, in different cities and in varying forms. It plays with the idea of observing and being observed which involves putting the audience in the position of both the observer and the observed.

Eliška Brtnická – HANG OUT

Full show experiment, outdoor, site specific, street arts

Eliška Brtnická – HANG OUT

“The greatest danger in life is that we become too cautious.” (Japanese proverb)
One of today’s highest values is safety. An increasingly extensive system of rules and standards is supposed to guarantee that “nothing can happen to us” in public space. Where and at what risk is it still possible to wander outside, hang out, hang up and hang out? Do our children still go out alone? Safety has become our mantra, but don’t we miss the trembling, because of which we jump with a parachute or at least go to the circus?
Performer and acrobat Eliška Brtnická deal in her audio walk performance HANG OUT with remote and forbidden places in public space, where you maybe always wanted to climb.

Balancealots – Link the Click

In an urge to connect with the environment, the two quirky & colorful individuals show the difficulty of learning to work together by trying to find the balance between the two extremes of social connection: the online and the offline presence.
They drag their wonky kart everywhere they go, bringing life to any street corner, through a complex mashup of skills and live beats to generate positive energy.
The show includes partner acrobatics, live music & comedy to create a spectacle that makes weirdness oddly normal.

About The Trick Brothers

Two cross-country skiers lost in the map and the season of the year, side by side yet in the same track, embark upon the Skiing Odyssey – a journey of blunders with an uncertain course and end. It‛s time to swish your poles around, klister your mustache, warm up with a shot of tea and we‛re ready to hit the corduroy! The Skiing Odyssey draws on the many years of the duo‛s street-theater experience. Their strengths include self-irony, juggling, moderate acrobatics and kind humor. As the Germans say, “Langläufer leben länger” or “cross-country skiers live longer” and laughing is known to have the same effect. Therefore, enjoy the elixir of immortality that this show offers.

Reviews/Awards

“Forget the Chuckle Brothers, think more Sacha Baron Cohen for a family audience. The show is an absolute delight. In the piece, a pair (later a trio) of clownish characters muck around with ski equipment in a brilliant slapstick performance that is reminiscent of Cohen’s Borat at his physically comic best.” – Mark Brown, The Sunday Herald

MansterVille – Propane Punk Circus

Work in progress acrobatics, clowning, flow arts, juggling, outdoor, site specific, street arts

MansterVille – Propane Punk Circus

MansterVille is an interactive amusement park including a music stage and a multifunctional geodesic dome. Our work is site- and/or event-specific, so we work with artists of different skills. The planned project builds on the performance Ex Rotam, which features clown acts, live music, trapeze acrobatics and a final fire show with pyrotechnic effects.
The performance follows a simple story which unfolds around a gradually assembled giant MansterWheel. First, there is just one cage where an acrobat moves freely. The other cage is replaced by an acrobatic trapeze. Story segments alternate with acrobatic and fire-dance interludes accompanied by live music by a perfect line-up of drummers and Djs.
