Veronika Štefanová

Veronika Štefanová has a PhD from the Department of Theater Studies of Charles University in Prague where she explored contemporary circus as a dramatic art. She occasionally teaches at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague. Veronika supervises the library, documentation, and research section of CIRQUEON, the umbrella organization for the support and development of contemporary circus in the Czech Republic. She works as a reporter for the culture section of Czech Radio and has published several articles, studies, and scholarly publications in journals such as Disk (Academy of the Performing Arts in Prague), Theatralia (Theater Studies department of the Masaryk University in Brno) and Performance Matters (Simon Fraser University). She has also presented research papers at various conferences, e.g. Circus and Space at the University of Münster. She was a co-director of the Circus and Its Others 2018 conference in Prague.
